Just toss it in the trash

Why do people continue to liter, just look at this pigeon it is enjoying a feast of garbage.

Is the sign so hard to follow?

It really is so simple dump it in the garbage CAN!

ugh!! THE WORST IS WHEN I SEE PARENTS LITTERING IN FRONT OF THERE KIDS...WHAT KIND OF AN EXAMPLE IS THAT? OR WHEN I SEE DRIVERS THROWING THINGS OUT OF THEIR WINDOWS....AWFUL.

Seriously?

I remember viewing this commercial a hundred times over as a little girl and being touched by the tears in this mans eyes because of all the liter in America...Perhaps they need to run this commercial again? It debuted in 1971 and I always think of it when I see some fool littering.
Please click on the link below to have a look at the commercial. If you have seen it in the past it will bring back a fond memory and if you are seeing this for the first time, I hope it touches you as it touched me many moons ago.

Like a Butterfly.......

Like a butterfly I always feel the need to flutter but sometimes feel trapped .........

However I always do my best to remain colorful and happy....because my wings were made to be spread.....................

So I will continue to be colorful and hang on....like this little guy below.

Women are Heroes

Oh! how I wish I could be in Paris right now to see this outdoor exhibit " Women are Heroes". There is a Parisian artist that goes by the initials JR ( his real name is unknown). JR has traveled to countries like Brasil, Kenya, Cambodia, India and Paris where he photographs women and then works with his team to make portraits to then be pasted on walls bridges etc around their countries. This projects helps promote awareness to others around the world about the lives of women and some of the conditions that they are exposed to on a day to day basis, from living in a war torn town or shanty village.
JR 's work is on exhibit now around Paris until October 23. Below are some photos of his work in Paris and other countries. Enjoy! I am a fan of his work. I think it is spectacular.( photos are all courtesy of the Internet)

The Conservatory Garden in Central Park

The Conservatory Garden in Central Park is on 104th Street & 7th ave.
A hidden world of the most beautiful plant life. This is a great place to take pictures, rest on a bench, read a book, or just go for a quiet stroll.

The Garden has been open since 1937.

I sat on the bench above with a warm cup of coffee and enjoyed the garden and piece & quiet.
