hola! i wore my favorite booties out the other night and
had drinks here! nice right?

hola! i ventured to cuba via dc's very own cuba libre.
restaurant/rum bar.

my dearest friend nicola and i started our afternoon off
with sangria and mojitos.
after a few rounds...............

we snacked on...
papa rellenas- potato croquettes
el chinto cuban- cuban spring rolls
chicharrones de la casa- mini fried meats
frituras de bacalao- mini cod fish
and yes me washed down all the above goodies with...well yes,
sangria and mojitos, we were in cuba libre so we went for it!

hola! what a great way to start a monday.
greek yogurt- high in protein which also promotes fullness.
almonds- vitamin e, magnesium and protein.
flax seeds- omega 3 fatty acids, ligans and fiber.
bananas- iron & potassium
blueberries- vitamin a,c and e
pineapples- vitamin c and bromelan( great for digestion).
ginger- immune booster and anti-inflammatory.
all these powerful ingredients........

and pow! this delish smoothie.

hola!  dolce & gabbana gets it right everytime, i love these spreads.

spaghetti squash

hola! have you ever made spaghetti squash before?
this was a first for me, and all i can say is that i am now
a loyal fan of this super healthy year-round vegetable.

ha! see why they call it spaghetti squash.
this serves as a good replacement for pasta if you ever want to
changes this up.
i made the below dishes and used the squash instead of pasta,
now don't get me wrong i do love pasta....but the squash
wins in the healthy department.

with hot  & sweet sausage and mixed veggies.

with sauteed shrimp and veggies. delish!
hmm.. i wonder how the spaghetti squash will taste with
some homemade marinara sauce and turkey meatballs? yumo!
