i don't have a favorite color.....so many hues ,why pick one.

year of the dragon



hola! happy chinese new year!  year of the dragon!
i wore the top pictured above to a year of the dragon
party yesterday, i bought this top like 10 years ago
it was perfect for the festivities, glad i had it tucked away in
my closet.

yum ...some of the spread from the party.

so of course for dinner this evening, i stayed in theme and
made shrimp fried brown rice.
happy new year!

downton abbey

                  hola! are you all fans of this masterpiece classic
                  on pbs " downton abbey"  take a peak at the trailer, the
                  show is on it's 2nd season on pbs.

the  sisters.
the edwardian dresses are gorgeous, i love period
fashion.

downton abbey is so additive you will be drawn in from the 1st
episode.
what's not to like, great story line, based in london,
stellar cast, period fashion...need i say more.

mercado {beecher's}

hola! while running errands in the flatiron district the other
day, i decided to stop by beecher's handmade cheese
 for a snack, i had read a few articles on this place
 and decided to give it a try.

hmm... their cheese selection was quite impressive.

nice selection of jams, chocolates, breads, crackers etc.

 you can sit on these silver stools and eat and depending on
the day...

you can witness the cheese making process...bummer but
no process when i was there...

however i did partake in the eating process and tried their
"worlds best " mac & cheese.

seriously...the mac & cheese is no joke, rich and decadent!

ps. they have a cellar downstairs so you can enjoy vino
 and appetizers.

hola, the other day my dear friend B popped by for a visit,
and gifted me with this juicy pineapple.
so that pineapple made it's way into....

my oatmeal.........

yogurt smoothie with strawberries & ginger....

snack with blueberries.....

and into my banana ginger smoothie.
love it! 1 pineapple 4 ways.

cold weather fire

hola!!! i took these photos early this morning, there was a major 5
 alarm fire this morning in upper manhattan.
soo very sad, about a dozen business were lost, thankfully no lives.
a huge thank you to all the fire fighters and police force that were
 out on duty.

love nyc's finest and bravest!
