tourist

hola. went to times square and pretended to be a tourist walking around taking everything in( most times i rush when i am in the area ) the reason i went to times square is i always meet tourist that mention all these cool things that i feel i miss out on because i am not always aware when things are going on. sooooo........
i walked around .....the crowds were not to bad today.

i even went into the enormous toys r us store, i heard it was massive inside with a ferris wheel and all so i braved it an walked in............
                                                                     the ferris wheel.
                                                          godzilla! i think?
the barbies! they looked like mini top models.

                                                                  smurf

                                                              spider man making his rounds.
ok i must admit it was a pretty cool store, kids must love it.

so while in times square i popped into the times square alliance.
pictured above is the new years ball.

while at the alliance i purchased tickets for next weeks taste of time square an event where you can taste local dishes from restaurants in the area. entry is free tickets to taste the foods are $1 each.
by visiting the alliance i also found out about the museum mile festival also next week. 10 museums on 5th ave from 82nd to 105th street open to the public in the evening and it's free! well we know where i will be next week stay tuned for post updates.

after being tourist for a day i stopped by the rice and beans brazilain restaurant for some tasty fuel.
                                                                       xingu black beer.
black bean soup and pan de quiezo (cheese bread)

and last some brazilian chocolate wafers.
