september & colors

august flew by and now it's september which mean fall colors...............

i as always am not ready to give up my summer colors just yet......

                                                         so i am holding on.

oh irene......

hurricane irene decided to pay nyc a visit this weekend........

as advised i stayed indoors, rested and finally.....

read this book which has been on my coffee table for some
 time now.

great book! now i cannot wait to see the movie.
back to irene...i am so thankful that the storm was not as
 severe as expected.
***update***loved the film! the book was better in my opinion
 but the movie does not disappoint.

earth shake.......



felt a little shake today....we had a mild
 earthquake her in nyc....
scary...thank goodness all is ok.

paletas

summer is almost coming to an end and i am so glad i enjoyed my share of paletas and aqua frescas all with the help of this book paletas.
making and eating them brought back so many childhood memories here and in colombia.
